Tatsiana Palavets, OD, is a highly skilled optometrist that provides exceptional eye care for adults and children at VistaSite Vision Center in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Dr. Palavets has a passion for eye care and a deep interest in research and vision therapy training.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hunter College - CUNY in New York City, Dr. Palavets went on to earn a dual degree in Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science from SUNY College of Optometry, also in New York City.
As part of her master’s program research project Dr. Palavets studied the effects of different filters to prevent digital eye strain. Her research was published in a reputable optometry journal, and Dr. Palavets presented her material at the American Academy of Optometry’s meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
At VistaSite, Dr. Palavets specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts. In addition to providing high-quality care for a wide range of eye diseases, Dr. Palavets takes a special interest in contact lenses, including specialty lenses to treat myopia, dry eyes, and other conditions.
For the convenience of her patients, Dr. Palavets speaks fluent English and Russian. She also understands basic Spanish.
